Configuring the eZ Flow block system

When setting up the block system in eZ Flow there are two main things you can configure. You can set up any number of page layouts and you can define any number of custom block types.

By default eZ Flow comes with a "Frontpage" class with the Layout datatype. You can also create custom classes that use the block system. To do this you simply create a new class and add an attribute of the Layout datatype.

Note: In dynamic blocks, like "Latest content", the content of the block will be fetched with the access rights of an anonymous user. eZ Publish behaves like this in order to ensure that the front page content will be available to any user. This is currently required due to the eZ Flow implementation: content for dynamic blocks isn't generated when viewed, and is therefore fetched as if seen by a user.
