Usage

The purpose of this chapter is to introduce and describe the functionality of the Online Editor. For those who are previously unfamiliar with the Online Editor, this documentation contains enough information to allow you to use and understand most elements of the Online Editor.

In this chapter some useful issues will be explained, like:

  • How to enable and disable the Online Editor.
  • What the Online Editor text area is.
  • How to use the Online Editor context menu.
  • How to work with the different dialog windows.
  • The information that is displayed in the Online Editor status bar.
  • Available types of elements inside the structured text (lines, paragraphs, headings, lists, tables, links, special characters etc.)
  • The concept of block and inline elements.
  • How to work with classified elements.
  • How to create/edit/delete various elements.
  • How to use the Online Editor stylesheets.
  • How to copy and paste from Word.

For the Online Editor to work properly with Internet Explorer 6.0, it is required to have a minimum browser window height (actually, the inner window viewport height) of 670 pixels. This can be easily achieved on small resolution screen by using the fullscreen mode of Internet Explorer accessible through the <F11> key.
